Background

Dashmesh Public Sen. Sec School is situated in the village Kotli Surat Malhi which is 18 kms from Batala. It was opened on 13th march 1983 by Amarjit Kaur. It is managed by a private unaided 18 member society, registered under the name ‘Dashmesh Educational Society, Kotli Surat Malhi, Regd. No.-GS 2398(2003-2004)

At present, it is administered under the able guidance of its Managing Director S. Ajaypal Singh, President S. Karanpal Singh, Secretary Mrs. Rajwant Kaur and S. Davinder Singh as Principal.

Born and brought up in the rural area, the founder Mrs Amarjit Kaur realised that majority of the village people wanted to send their wards to distant Public schools but due to their lower income level, they could not afford far situated and expensive schools. Therefore, with a view to impart better education to the rural kids at a lower fee structure, the school came into existence. Since 1983 the school has been catering to the educational needs of the middle and lower levels of society.

Who We are

Dashmesh Public Sen. Sec. School, Adda-Kotli Surat Malhi (Gurdaspur) is in its own building with a total of 50 rooms and about 1000 students. Being affiliated to P.S.E.B, the school follows the syllabus prescribed by the Punjab School Education Board, Mohali. To enrich the knowledge of our young kids and to develop in them the spirit of competition, inter-house competitions are part and parcel of the schools curriculum.

Mission Objective

  • To impart value based quality education at reasonable and affordable rates.
  • Commitment to promote academic excellence coupled with over all development of each student.
  • To provide best possible education to the kids from lower strata of society.
  • To acquaint the students with the rich and powerful heritage of the Sikh people – much of which is unparallel in human history.
  • To prepare the students into educated and responsible citizens of tomorrow.

Our Values

We believe that in order to make the students morally strong and truthful human beings, Religious education is of utmost importance. With this background in mind we have been teaching Divinity as a subject from the very beginning. Every year students appear in the ‘Dharmik Prikhia’and ‘Naitik Sikhya Competition’, held by Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Ludhiana  winning a large number of prizes.
In 2015, Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle held a Punjab level Competition in which 70 schools had participated under the name ‘Dharmik Muqabla’ in which our student  Kirandeep Kaur topped  the contest. Kirandeep also achieved the first position in speech competition held by the Punjab State Education Board (under fourteen) and won a cash prize of Fourteen Thousand four Hundred Rupees (Rs 14400). Majority of our participants were high achievers and obtained impressive prizes in that competition.
